I am trying to learn ASM, using MASM compiler. Is that the "right landuage" to learn when trying to crack? Or schould i start reading TASM tutorials? My aim is not to become a harcore ASM coder, but a decent cracker, just want to learn ASM for coding keygens and crack me's. I am reading Iczelion's coding tutorials. I think a good knowledge of ASM is the key to sucess in this buisness.
Am i on the right track?
Please excuse my English, it is not my mother language..

You'll probably be better off spending time understanding select ASM commands that are used for cracking rather than the whole instruction set.
Unless your job demands it, reading through all 3 manuals (though I admit, its really cool) of the Intel Processer guides is just a bit too much.
Ability to *read* rather than *program* ASM takes premium.

PS: If you are trying to be a cracker, TASM/ASM/NASM doesn't make much difference unless you are really looking at higher end products to crack.

Well, good thing with learning masm is that you get to learn windows programming in assembly language - problem is that probably you'll get stuck there and won't come back. As many others did before
I can only recommend to learn it as it will open new ways on solving the riddles you'll encounter in your reversing career. Once you got that going and you slap your own dll into some other process you'll get more hooked than ever.
