I need some help with a program protected with Protection Plus 4.x from Concept Software (result from PEID). The dumped file has too many garbage after the last named section; Imprec doesn't recognize mfc42.dll functions (it seems to me, the oep of dumped file is correct).
The unique succesfull approach was to patch the program with Princess Sandy; after this, the time limit can be defeated.
I did search this forum and the one at exetools, searched google and I haven't found anything about this compressor/protector.
Any help will be fine.
PS: I'm not requesting a crack. Just help on unpacking and rebuild the IAT.

Not of specific assistance in your quest, but have you read the company's publications about their protection system? It should at the least give you some ideas on the nature of their views of their protection scheme. You will find a "tutorial" about their product at:

They claim their "electronic management system" can:

· Force returned software to stop working
· Track client's usage of your application at your Internet server
· Change license modes remotely
· Retrieve registered user and license update information automatically
· Terminate software purchased fraudulently any time in the future

There is also a specifications page which provides some information. A trial download is available.

This would suggest that the program permits the company to watch you use a program protected with their system without your knowledge and that they maintain the ability to "terminate" the program in the future from their server (or at least that is part of their claim). This should suggest to you some of the things you might be looking for in the program. There is also some general discussion of decryption/decription of user information.

Not a bad place to start.
