Although I lack the skills to remove such a protection, I am simply curious as to what new protections have been added to safedisc that is making it difficult for crackers to defeat DOOM III's protection. I couldn't seem to find any information on macrovisions website about new options nor any other forum. One rumor I heard was it had a polymorphic OEP? I am sure that is just a rumor, but I am really intrigued to know what exactly is different from the easy normal ol safedisc we have come to know. Silent Alarm has been around for awhile, so I wouldn't think that would be causing the problem.
Thanks

Not that I know much about it, but Doom3 juarez releases have been available for a few days now. So I'd uneducatedly guess it's not that hard compared to some apps (one certain webcam software springs to mind that nobody appears to be able to crack successfully).

safedisc 3 isnt really new, last version i looked at was 3.20.22, where all they 'added' was the ccc's were now able to be e9 jmps as well as the e8 calls, polymorphic oep i doubt very much

, tho i'll have a look at it as/when i get my stuff back

There is no such thing as polymorphic OEP in doom
