Hi Everybody, I have installed SoftIce for WINNT 4.05 and installed the Patch for WinXP... When I open SoftIce, I opened and Exe, (with the mouse) but I realized that the Keyboard doesn't respond, U can't type a single char!, And when I start to test this problem the computer hangs... Do u now what could be the problem?...

Time for you to read the FAQ listed in the BIG RED LETTERS, which you were supposed to have done BEFORE you posted.

Had you done so, you would then know that you were supposed to SEARCH before you ask a question. Had you done that, using something like "softice and winXP" (without the quotes) you would have discovered that WINNT 4.05 really doesn't work well with WinXP and that you need a later version of Softice. DO NOT ASK WHERE YOU CAN GET ONE HERE.

The search button will also help you find answers to questions about using Softice and various keyboard and mouse issues. Again search, using such things as "softice and keyboard" or "softice and mouse" (again without the quotes).

Thanxs JMI, now Im going to search... remember that I installed a Patch (3 .sys files) to the installed S-ICE Winnt 4.05, so it can work in WinXP...

P.D.: u mention that I need a later version for WinXp... I already downloaded Compuware DriverStudio v3.1-SoftIce 4.3.1, Does this version work for XP?...

I sorta think that the whole idea of searching is to do it before asking questions whose answers are easily found both in the FAQ, or by searching this board with practically arbitrary search strings... *sigh*
