Ok, since only one person answered my last post i will ask a very direct question. Is it possible to reverse a target that requires a serial/password to run. How can I reverse it if I cant unpack it?
I've checked the tuts and none seem to address this issue. If anyone knows please tell.
Be as blunt as you feel you have to be.
Ricardo are you out there?
HELP.......
Thanks for any and all who reply.

No, as far as I know, you cannot unpack an armadillo target that requires a username/password, unless you have either a keygen first (in which case unpacking is kinda not the point) or you have a username/serial already.

I don't know if is possible or not possible, if i say is not possible, maybe in a par of month is discovered a method for bypass this, but for my experience the section code is decryted using the right serial-name, if you bypass the comprobation of the serial name, and try unpacking using the bad serial name, the section code unpacked is a mess and don't RUN.
maybe a hard bruteforcing can do this i don't know, but i think if days and days of bruteforcing are justified for run a program only, sure there are hundred of programs in internet with the same use.

Let's conclude it like this:
If properly implemented, such an application can indeed be as hard to crack as the cracking of the most secure existing encryption algorithm.
This being said, the question is of course always if the author of the protection in question has implemented the cryptography in a suitable way, which is indeed not always the case (see for example this recent funny thread (http://www.woodmann.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6288)).
