Hi Guys
Let us take a little time to reflect. On this day three years ago.
Around 07:46 Eastern flight AA11 took off from Logan for LA or so everyone thought. This started off a chain of events which we all hope will never be repeated.
Approx 1 hour later at 08:46:39 (eastern) to be precise the first innocents died as the plane hit WTC Tower 1.
During the following 90 minutes thousands more were killed by this insane act.
This is probably not the best place in the World to post this but - -:-
Let us all take a couple of minutes to remember them and their relatives.
This rememberance of course does not include the totally insane bin laden mob.

1. No offense meant to those affected by what happened three years ago.
2. The only point of this post is that the world consists of more than what the media is currently focusing on.
3. I have not checked the numbers, but the argument still holds true.
4. With the risk of being banned for life:

Edit: 5. I am in no way affiliated with the above URL, and I'm only pointing at the numbers in the first paragraph, not all the stuff further down.

Hey
No need to take the piss
This was put up 48 hours in advance so some people would get to see it before the anniversary of this atrocity!
Just as a matter of fact it is 9/10 here but it is still 9/11 tomorrow.

While death from disease, starvation, and injury are personal tragedies in and of themselves, the intentional taking of the lives of others to attempt to advance a religious/political agenda is an entirely different category of evil perpetrated by man against humanity. The first category is a failure of humanity to rescue one’s fellow man from the effects of poverty, disease, and natural disasters. It is essentially standing by while others die from causes which those standing by did not cause to happen. One may argue about whether there is moral duty to “rescue” humanity from the afflictions of the human condition.
The second category is of another character all together. It is individuals determining that their religious/political agenda justifies their active taking of the lives of innocents to try to make a point about their “cause.” It is evidence of the failure of ideas, which are unable to capture the imagination of the masses, unless provoked through terror and slaughter.
The Deity does not call upon men to deliberately kill other human beings; people use the name of the Deity to justify their own acts of cruelty and inhumanity. This has happened throughout the history of man and is unlikely to stop in the foreseeable future. Those who crash airplanes into buildings, bomb markets, school, nightclubs and other gathering places simply demonstrate their weakness and the bankruptcy of their ideals. Sadly, it is fairly easy to train people to kill one another for little or no real cause. It is far more difficult to teach people to respect and care about one another. The other lesson of history is that violence almost certainly simply generates more violence.
This is neither the best nor the worst of times in human history. It is simply the time in which we live and the realities and cruelities of life abound and, unfortunately, will continue.
Regards,
