As Above...
Just my two cents...
We are also getting *too many* of the I'm-so-great-you're-just-a-lousy-noob messages more often.
I don't mind if +ORC or Fravia or Mammon said that but coming from lazy slobs who have not ever created any single cracking tool or posted even 2-3 essays on cracking some _good_ programs, its seems a bit too much of this-is-my-board attitude.
Can the admins please look into this matter. I have told many times on this board and would like to tell again. If you don't want to reply or feel that a person is a noob, ignore him. Don't try go be one of the big boys by berating him. Personally, I don't give a **** who this aikon987654321 is. But I respect that he has made a good statement, and is decent enough to clarify things before you begin. I also totally feel that jerks like SL0rd should'nt be allowed to make such lousy statements, ESPECIALLY considering that slobs like him possibly have not even cracked a single good program.
And wtf is everybody doing on the INT 3 post protection, falling all over the place, trying to help him? I'd like to ask the guy who mentioned FBI whether he's ever posted that in response to the INT 3 protection request? If not, why?
I was never a great cracker. But I don't insult people the way people are doing over here. And who in the name is this Neo? I knew keanu reeves could dodge bullets, but this guy seems ****ing psychic!! He knows the prot is easy before even downloading the frickking file!. How that?
Cmon guys. Can you imagine? The Slord and the slob brigade v/s Phrozen Crew? Neo v/s Death from Execution? I understand from Fravia's interview that ORC is dead. Goddamn!!! He must be turning in his grave to see morons like this. Embodiment of the spirit of cracking? The future of the cracking world? Man, the FBI don't have to stop us. We're doing that to ourselves good enough.

People will be people, and act however they want. Nothing you can do about it, short of turning this (or any forum/irc chan/messageboard/bbs) into a private system where new users aren't allowed and anonymous users can't even get in. Although I don't think that benefits anyone... That said, I understand your frustration.

Although (as the EXETOOLS forum showed

) closing registration for a short time is not so bad, a bit more of control (admins?

) could be useful....
I really don't like this people (get them banned?) - the university guy has always kept a clean and kind tone, respect for him is a MUST.

I was considering deleting some of those posts, especially Slord's, but I decided to let them make fools out of themselves and just drop a short comment instead. I figure it's sometimes better to let people make major asses out of themselves and then send some more major consequences their way, rather than nag about each small thing they do. But believe me, they are under evalutation...
About the "why are we helping protectionists" issue though, just drop it. The guy put in some effort, and from just reading this board any protectionist can learn a hell of a lot anyway, not to mention that many crackers design their own protections too, the old Fravia site even had an entire section dedicated too it. This board is not about making sure that we can always crack all protections easily, it's about learning and evolving, and protections evolving is a part of that.
Btw Aimless, which interview with Fravia are you referring to?

A few quotes that pretty much sum up my feelings as well..

I had a quick look at aikons little project and I can say I'm truly impressed .. actually did research .. writing this sample prog was work .. there's no reason to beat him up for doing a survey.
ORC is dead. Goddamn!!! He must be turning in his grave
(nope, he's driving the bus!)

He's referring to this: http://www.woodmann.com/crackz/Orc.htm#finalorc ("http://www.woodmann.com/crackz/Orc.htm#finalorc") (I linked to this reference because it in fact references me too, heh)
Unfortunately, the link on that page to the original article no longer works. And oddly enough, the first issue of the CodeBreaker's Magazine has entirely disappeared from the face of the web. Only the CodeBreaker's Journal is now available. Anyway, after a lot of searching, I managed to stumble upon the last remaining copy of the CodeBreaker's Magazine: http://web.archive.org/web/20030601070629/codebreakers.anticrack.de/Codebreakers-issue1-2003.pdf ("http://web.archive.org/web/20030601070629/codebreakers.anticrack.de/Codebreakers-issue1-2003.pdf")
The Fravia interview starts on page 10.
Crackz, if you end up reading this, you may want to save the PDF locally to your site and fix the link.
And as for Orc being dead, I don't think that's quite true. Of course, that's because I have my own opinion of who Orc may be (and it's a possibility I haven't seen anyone ever mention).

Hi people, I need to say something and apologize ....
I really dont mean what I said, Its not really me. Im not saying this because my post may be deleted (Delta will be a favor can delete it) or even my account in this forum nor I want to seem like the real lamer. Im a student, learn a bit everyday.
I dont know who aikon987654321 is and I say, now: Forgive me you aikon and all here, I will not do something so stupid again!
But I think that what aikon want(wanted) is dubious, what I mean is that if he really wants to know about how crackers defeat software protections he must learn how to defeat software protections and not post a crackme and wait for a lot o peoples returning theirs works on it clean and answer a questionarie...
I cant speak english very well, forgive about it too!
One more time forgive me all

Ok SLOrd, I'm glad to hear that, good move, as long as people learn from their mistakes and show respect when being corrected, we are happy.
And sure, I've removed your post now, according to your request.
