Target: PhotoLine5 (year 1999)
Problem: IDA crash because of low memory or sth

What tha fuck is going on?
That app is 5 years old... I've Celeron 1.7 with 256DDR...
Any sugestions?

Do not put the target name.
There are anti-dissasembler tricks that work against IDA, one of them is to setup code the calls itself recursively in an endless loop. IDA will run out of space trying to follow the code thead to its ultimate consequences. those instructions are not run by the prog during normal operation so they do not affect the program itself.

Try another dissasm, and perhaps you can identify the offending instructions and nuke them.

Hi, in this case I don't really see a problem with simply naming a file IDA chokes and pukes on. The other post asking for a target related cracking tut was deleted though...
