First of all, we're in the off-topic forum.

Second of all, the post seems quite on-topic for this thread, so give the guy a break, ok?

Why are you so grumpy lately eval?

i decided against it. though my idea for a paper was interesting, it wasn't groundbreaking enough to be representative of my company and me

I did't create a account just for a single word, I check this board from time to time, I am just hiding. I used to have a account, I guess it got removed from inactivity or I was just posting as Guest. Btw if you search for my nick, you will find at least 1 old post from 2002... Oh wait that might mean I am near-walking this forum

What was the topic? Saying it was't groundbreaking enough somehow mean it was groundbreaking, and that is a good start

i'd rather not say, since that would allow someone to steal the idea

i know you can now say, "so why should we believe you had an idea in the first place?" well, i can't argue with that, so say what you will.

I've had a change of heart. I think I will be submitting the paper after all.

The list of speakers has been published: http://www.recon.cx/en/conference.html ("http://www.recon.cx/en/conference.html"), among them, Fravia+ himself.
If anyone from here is planning on attending, PM me so that we can try to meet up for a drink.

But some of our members are too young to drink.

And, of course, I'm too old to do so.

Btw I don't want this to be a argument for comming... But considering US drinking age, those too young to drink, are probably too old to drink here
The drinking age here is 18

don't tell your parents

Howdy,
My name does not belong with those that are most esteemed.
Perhaps all of you in Europe and other places will get this conference
next year.

Woodmann, none of us would be using this messageboard if it wasn't for you.
You do belong in that list. You've helped keep the scene alive.
