I have downloaded a couple of programs that assist in scanning and showing other information related to .exes. When I tried to use them I received a [Runtime Error 200 at 0985:0091]. I had downloaded the "Pascal Turbo V7" patch and had a successful installation, atleast I thought, because I'm still getting the error. Does anyone know where I went wrong in applying this patch? and if you do, mind advising me where I went wrong? Trying to learn how to crack here, I'm in my fifties and it's like trying to learn to walk all over again...I envy you "Young Bloods" out there...having all this technology available to you in your youth...I didn't.

Thanks for letting me whine...my brain itches...

It might not run in win2k or winxp coz its an old program.Try your luck on win9x.Age is not the obstacle on learning, narrow minded does

Otherwise you can always try the DOS-Box approach...

Have a look
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/

I had a look...it sounds like it's mainly for the Mac & Linux systems, although I saw a Windows front-end. I'm not sure what that software is about, so I sorta agree with "esther". I'll throw another computer together and run that sh_ty 98se with it.

Thanks for the raps...
Guys pop up with anything new...please let me know.

@mac: dosbox is available for windows, too. just check the download page on the site polaris posted. its the first thing i do on a page: look for the download section

dosbox is a "DOS in a BOX"... you can use it to "emulate" old dos, for some older apps and gamez they also provide the needed parameters. give it a try!

Now that I have the DOS-Box for Win32, I have a couple of questions.

Will a Win32 App run on a NTFS file system? and

Here's a stupid one...Do I still need the Windows Front-end that I had found on the Site?

I'm new at this...please excuse my ignorance

Thank you for your response

Hi
As I know, this problem is not because of OS.It's because of computer speed itself.
Because TP7 uses in Longint for its counter for making delays and this counter
overflows on newer computers because of their high speed.
I get a patch for it some time ago that make it work on XP too,But I forget the link.
If you search, you will be able to find one.

sincerely yours

Hero...

Ok, I'll search...but what type of patch am I looking for?

Is it for the "Turbo Pascal V7", Dos-Box or my OS?

I found a patch for the Pascal V7, but that's all the patching I know of at this time.

Thank you for your input

I read your post once again and you answered that question for...sorry about that. I am searching for a specific patch [XP].

Hi, mac53,
I was curios about the informative answer from Hero and I searched google for the 3 words "tp7" "patch" "longint".

In the first page you will find the link
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/2926/tp_pato.html
containing links and explanations to all the possible patches for TP7.
I hope this can solve your problems!

I don't think the DOS-Box is necessary; the Windows Command Prompt should make well his job.

Best regards from a coeval dude,
