hi crackz,
hmm. dried up. somehow yes and no. i can just speak for myself of course... some years ago it was exciting to read / write articles on protection schemes reversing / cracking, virii. and also to maybe release cracks for software.
this excitement somehow you get used to it and might also search sthg new / or more legal. this might be a reason for reduced articles.
i just can see that there are established channels like phrack, 29a, ... so maybe noone felt the need to setup sthg new. also ie the coderbreakers-journal in my opinion tries to fill the gap. universitas virtualis as well. it seems the new goal is to have quality and profund research.
it might be interesting on the one side to have tuts which are dedicated to targets.
i personally like to read them. somehow such articles are nice but i also somehow think they help somehow more the newbies. and therefor ie this messageboard is a very good ressource. the more advanced topics seem to be tried to be published more seriously and independent from the target.
i definately would like to contribute some articles especially the linux front. but i have some very target specifics where i do not know how to best publish it. if i publish it with details i can not use my nick

if i do not publish all, it is half the fun. maybe more ppl have this problem

?
somehow also there are tons of RE sites now, even recent paper magazines catch the train. in the last 3 standard linux magazines, hakin9, ... everywhere "a demo RE session" described. honeynet scan of the month 32,33 topic: reverse engineering.
it might be worth to channel the powers and make a more central place to find tuts. but how to compete with the different RE sites spread all over the globe who offer tuts?
if such an action is beeing taken i want to join! and add a section linux if possible.
i would contribute cracking tuts for some linux protections (and 1 extremely hardcore) hehe.
also i work on different RE topics on linux, where i could share some things.
what is the plan?
