Hi all
I made an license for a Flexlm 6.1 protected program some time ago.and I test
it on 2 computers and it works well.
But when I get that license to one of my friends,he said me that the lincense is
not working.
After testing again,I get that this license is working on 3 of 6 test computers.How
this is possible?Why this license is not working on any computer?(I make it without
any limition in license file)

sincerely yours

If you are not using HOSTID=ANY and you are using the NIC ID the problem could be because of a "feature" some computers have, the NIC card shuts itself down when there is no network hardware present, or there could be conflicting MAC addresses, IE a NIC and a wireless card.

Hi
I using HOSTID=ANY.The structure of license that I generated is like this:
Quote:
SERVER this_host ANY
FEATURE <----------> <--------> <----> permanent uncounted <---------> HOSTID=ANY

Try using LMTools to see what the problem is, it's a great utility to help you create licenses (Thanx Globetrotter!).

Error code returned from the application or daemon can help in tracing the problem.
