The most important are is not to search or crack....It is knowing how and where to leech!!

So find yourself a nice Excel Password cracker (try typing "Excel Password Recovery" in google without the quotes and you'll get some thousands of those) to break the same.

Unless of course, you are interested in the ciphers and encrypt/decrypt mechanisms Microsoft uses, which I doubt.

Hint: Try searching for leech on "fixdown" site....

It depends what version of Excel. If it's pre-office 97, then there's an instant crack. Office 97 uses 40-bit crypto, and you can brute-force it in two stages. Office XP uses 128-bit crypto, but tries its hardest to leave stuff around for you to find

AccessData, ElcomSoft, LostPassword all use CamelCaps and sell password crackers.
