Hi,

I am a VB developer working to integrate and extend an existing software for my client. Problem is the existing software uses a dongle to control access (even the SDK library), and I have to return the dongle EVERYTIME my client wants to use it. This is madness and affecting delivery schedule.

The OS is Win XP, and looking at the dongle hardware info:
Universal Serial Bus controllers
Aladdin Knowledge Systems
Location 0 (HASP4 USB 1.33)

Device Instance Id
USB\VID_0529&PID_0001\5&38D90B3D&0&1

I have the software, SDK, and dongle (at least until the next time my client requires it). Is there a SIMPLE WAY (I should be spending more time on the migration than on patching the dongle) to patch the dongle access control so that I still can still use the SDK while my client uses the dongle for his normal daily business?

I am a complete newbie here. All those Hexdec code looks Greek to me.

Thanks!
Derrick

I have no idea what kind of software u are working on. But anyways if u are saying that its hasp4 and if ur software uses on the fly decryption, then i guess, the only way out is learning greek.
