'r eax' will place the cursor at the start of the eax register, then just type in the new value.

or

'r al' or 'r ax' to select just AL/AX

or

just click your mouse on where you want to start.

Use the arrow keys to move back and forth.

If your mouse is working, click on EAX then write what you want.
If you only have keyboard,
type
R ( for register) eax= 8 [Enter]

In any case,
Go to SoftIce command reference.pdf and read it, from 1st page to last page

Then

Get to fucking SoftIce command reference.pdf, read it, from 1st page to last page

and when you get bored,

Go to SoftIce command reference.pdf and read it, from 1st page to last page again.

note: the Paddler got ahead of me while I was writing. . .

That's the problem nowadays, the sport is too damn popular and there's always a lineup in the eddy...

And besides, he reached out and wacked him with that long paddle they use.
