Sorry for the down time. I've been working on trying to install the new vBulletin v3.5.0 and have been making some backups of the database and restoring them to other places. During the process I managed to screw-up the October 9 database and several Posts inadvertantly got lost in the process. Fortunately there were only a few, but if you notice something you posted is not here any more, that's why.

If what you Post was important, and you remember what it was, Post it again. I'll try not to screw it up again.

Great ... I finally get around to making an at least semipositive contribution to this board, and then it's blasted to smithereens straightaway. Just goes to show, I guess.

On the upside, thumbs up for making the effort to keep this place alive, much respect.

Well was that "semipositive contribution" your entire wad? Is your brain now infertile? Mortibund?

Can you not re-connect your synapes to the thought once engendered and bring it forth once more into the cold light of scrutiny by your Peers? Have you given up all hope of having another "semipositive contribution" ? Is there a time limit on your having another or reconstruction of the basis which engendered the earlier revealation? Does inspiration come only that once in a life time or may it be induced or inhanced by perspiration?

In other words ... Dud, you have 'our' permission to simply re-post your masterpiece for our wondering eyes to behold.

It was a one-off - my mind is now completely blank. More relevantly, I think someone posted more or less what I was going on about, so not much reason now But I'll probably still hang around, waiting for the next thought to present itself to me.

You need to obtain a sutable container in which to perserve them, especially if they are as rare as the bursting forth of a new nova upon the heavens. Or, as Perry Como used to sing, "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day."
