I think he's joking about the typo contained in the link that claims IDA5 will be released Q1 of 2005 (not 2006 as they actually meant).

Finally, an integrated graphical view! The idea of graphical debugging sounds exciting! This looks very nice... the only problem I see is the graphical layout engine in previous versions of IDA isn't designed well enough and tends to make the graph long and narrow instead of neatly arranging the blocks on the screen.

Might be time to finally upgrade the old v3.6 I've been using all along...

W0w, looks promising Seems like 1600x1200 won't do anymore ...

But seriously, when I started to work on some (very popular) Arma protected app some time ago, I didn't have a good overview and always got lost 'somewhere in the licensing' routines (nop, it was not about plain unpacking), both using OllyDBG and IDA, while I knew that I was at the right 'spot'. At some moment I decided to execute WinGraph from within IDA and * BOOM * in 1 instance all was clear.

I really think this 'graphical approach' will help us reverse engineers, especially with mangled code ! It'll make the 'complete picture' much clearer.

PS: I just saw they fixed the Q1 2005 to Q1 2006
