Hello:

Have you tried this weekend to open these forums? Is it working for you?

I cannot open them.

Do you know any new about it?

Cheers

Exetools appears to be having a database problem, but that means that the server is still running or it would not be putting up the error message. I believe it is still sleeping time for Aaron, so he probably hasn't discovered the problem yet. Patience would be a good thing to practice.

Exetools is back online now. Aaron must have fixed whatever the database problem was at the time.

Based upon experience on this Board, it is most likely a problem with the mysql installation. We don't know what else Aaron may be running on his server.

Anyway, it's back on line this morning.

JMI, do you know what is happening?
Exetools is down again...

Everyday without exetools is a day where you feel something is missing...

Don't know what is the problem with Aaron's Server. The warning posted on the URL suggests that there is a mySQL problem with the server and/or the database, but that the Server, itself, is running. I don't have access to the Server, itself, to look at the problem and maybe Aaron is away and can't directly access and/or fix the problem at the moment. That's just a WAG (Wildass Guess), however.

We've been doing alot of work on installing and "fixing" our version of the new v 3.5.3 vBulletin software. During part of that process we had to "bounce" the server several times. Yesterday, we were attempting to recover Bart's Forum, which Woodmann also hosts, from the effects of something "stupid" that guy named JMI did to the mysql database while working on the updates. Again, that process required the stopping and re-starting of mysql, which is what gives that error message which you saw briefly.

I was actually making a Post at the time Woodmann did the recycle and had to start over myself.
