Hey folks, which forum software is better: vB (jelsoft.com) or IPB (invisionpower.com), woodmann did you have any problems with vB?

I know there are plenty of free forums like phpbb, smf, punbb and many others, but vB and IPB have much more options.

Either one of those looks good. IPB gives you more options but you have to pay for them.

I pay for this software because they keep the software up to date.
Upgrades run about 2 a year.

i prefer IPB. i have used it on many sites and find its a lot faster and easier to use overall. also most mods for vb are made from IPB mods. the major downside to IPB is the price if you actually pay for it.
