I have emulated a lot of hasp protected softwares using Glasha's hasp emulator. However recently i have encountered a new varient of hasp. When i dump it using Glasha's emualtor it shows me hasp4 but when i try to convert it into reg file using DMP2REG_EDS_1.5 i get an error saying unknown file size. I am attaching the dmp file. Can someone please have a look

Hiya,

Your dump is 220 bytes in size.
DMP2REG_EDS_1.5 and converters of that ilk like dumps of 332 bytes minimum.

Elementary subtraction tells you that 332-220 is 112 and thus your dump is 112 bytes short. A bit of HASP knowledge and you'd know that a MemoHASP-1 has 112 bytes of internal memory, your HASP therefore has <insert how much memory here> ;-).

Regards

CrackZ.

I increased the size of the file and tried creating ed structure and got an error saying "cannot create ed structure search failed". What is diffrent about this hasp is that we have been given four dongle and one cd for software installation. All the hasp can be interchanged and used for same cd. As far as my knowledge of hasp goes each hasp has a unique identification and decyption key.

Hello,

As far as I know, Aladdin has released a new type of HASP-4 with Motorolla chipset, while the old ones use Cypress chip. I would suggest you take out the casing (can easily be done by pulling the USB connector or the casing away) and prove it by yourself if it is the new one.

CrackZ,
Do you know the exact relationship between encode/decode function in HASP4. The responses (service 2) can be found out by eds2reg ?
