the beter setup is not unique, the setup is adapted to each case, in any packers i use certain configuration, in other different, is very good you learn the effect of each configuration for adapt better to the case.
I donīt know explain better, what do you put (BP, HE, BPM) and what packer, and when donīstop.

what i mean is that when i click on ok or check for a fake serial/name algo
and it dosen't respond what do i need to look for to breakpoint on.. usually when you click check or ok you bp on getdlgitemtexta messageboxa or getwindowtexta ? if those api's aren't there would do i break on ?

well you have the point H, work in XP in 80% of the programs (NOT VC++), the plugin of kluger for automatic found the point h was not published in the plugins list of ths forum, arguin only english plugins are published.
Well a plugin with 3 words in spanish and 2 buttons was not published and is very practical, but this are the rules man jeje.
The tut of point H was translated to english and is in my ftp.
("ftp://ftp.
")
you have the chance of stop in ollydbg with message breakpoints (BMSG in SOFTICE), with this and the point H, you can not tell me the program dont stop jeje.
