Hey all !

I have some experience with cracking but I tried to find the password for a zip file packed with a masker proggy . I couldnt find or hook the real serial but I patched the program to bypas pass check and just decrypt file , it gave a crc checksum error ! I tried to open decompressed zip file but file was corrupted . but with real password decrypted file is OK .
plz share ur ideas about fishihng passwords .

Love and cheers .
Dan
ps the packer proggy is bmpPacker . it hides files into bmp format and encrypts them /

As far as I know, you can't fish zip masked password files........the file password is part of the CRC check sequence of the mask. This is also my understanding as to why zip files are never corrupted because of this types of mechanism.

Others may chime in to correct me if I'm in error
