hello!
i started a topic and it was deleted. it's ok coz i didn't follow the whole faq.
but there seems to be a contradiction in the faq itself:
Quote:
DO NOT POST ... THE NAME OF THE TARGET AND THE NAME OF THE PROTECTION

and

Quote:
Cut and Paste these questions in your post, including your answers :
...
What is the protection.....

Hmm Yes it's a contradiction but I think the FAQ writer advice the poster to give some information about the protection. In fact the protection is not the main problem I think. We don't have to post of the company name/target name because ppl from company could use a known search engine to trace it and Woodmann would have problems.

regards.

Your main violation was rather the following FAQ points:

Quote:
Do not ask for help without showing you made an effort. This includes asking *lameass* questions in the Newbies Forum.

Quote:
DO NOT EVER post anything like this: "Hi I have downloaded this program 12345.exe and I can't (insert your best word here IE: crack) it. Can someone tell me how? Can someone send the (insert your best word here IE:crack) at myemail@.. ?"

Which btw is what the rest of the steps in the FAQ following "What is the protection" are referring to, which you so conveniently excluded in your FAQ quote:

Quote:
# What tools are you using....
# What tutorials have you read....
# Show your output listing WITH comments....
# NOW ask your question....

Finally, "What is the protection" does not necessarily mean the name of a packer used, but rather, "time trial protection", "the program shows an error message if it is modified", "menu items are disabled in the demo version" etc...

And its "purpose" is to prevent the companies which make commercial software from making complaints to our ISP about what activities are discussed on these Forums with an end result that we are kicked off the ISP. This has happened more than once already and is the "reason" for the Rule.

hi,

there is no contradiction in the FAQ.

Quote:
DO NOT POST ... THE NAME OF THE TARGET AND THE NAME OF THE PROTECTION

vs

Quote:
What is the protection.....

you shall tell the protection, but not its name. simple
