I can't find the driver i8042prt.sys for Build 2195 of Win2k for Softice 4.05. I searhed their FTP site and no luck. Also checked all subjects in this forum. Any help would be appreciated.

Driver which comes with 2K works fine. But in some very rare cases you may have problem with it. gAnZ found that adding this to registry may help:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTice]
"KbdMethod"=dword:67416E5A

This will probably fix some problems like hanging or locking/loosing keypresses after starting SoftIce.
You may try to change the value of KbdMetod to 0 or 1.
