i tried my best to reverse some new symbian 9.x apps. But i failed to decompress the file. It seems that Symbian packed his files with deflate/huffman algorithm.

Anyone knows how to unpack this file ?

YOU need to try to find the answer yourself, such as by searching on the net, and by telling us that you have searched and what you searched for.

ONLY THEN should you ask for help here. If you DID already search, they you STILL did not follow the posting guidlines outlined in the FAQ, because you didn' t tell us that you did search.

How about you actually READ the FAQ, follow its directions and THEN come back with a question, which shows you followed the guidlines.

well, i always thought boards are for helping each other but i think this was a rule which doesn't count anymore these days. maybe u are not old enough (hope u won't misunderstand this) to know me or u are not from the real c64 scene and so these "good old days" have just past away and are over forever !!!

The problem is the following :
There is a extracted .exe where the header is defined as a symbian file, so the header is in plain. But the rest of the code is compressed with deflate algorithm.

There is a description how to dump an E32Image file, so i downloaded the 9.1 sdk but couldn't get a dumped file with elf2e32. Don't know why ... :/

Is there another possibility to match this ???

i see....

i thought u would like to unpack the sis file for cracking so this tool ist enough but....
...in that case i didn't see any tools around for decrypting these parts of the files. there is just one way reverse and decrypting manually.....

BOTH of you miss the point. It's not about helping or not helping. It's about having Rules of procedure and expecting people who post to ACTUALLY FOLLOW THEM.

It's not about what one known or doesn't know. ALL are expected to SHOW that they have made an EFFORT to help themselves and that is WHY the Requirement is posted in the FAQ, which it still appears neither of you have read. And since Bra!NSHiT STILL has not said anything about his own efforts to actually solve his own problem, other than he downloaded the SDK and attempted to dump it with an included tool, this Thread will now be closed.
