Critics are seeking to widen the Intel Boycott and are seeking help from
the government in opposing the new technology just days before the product
is set to launch. Intel has created a new 'ID' system in its upcoming line
of processors to be used in e-commerce. (Ed Note: This scares the
shit out of me but seeing as how 500,000 people are willing to sell their
privacy for the price of a new computer I doubt the boycott will be all
that successful. Although I know I'm not buying one.)

Yesterday was the four year anniversary of Kevin Mitnick being held in
"pretrial detention" without a constitutionally guaranteed bail hearing.
Why is he the only person in US History to held without a hearing? It
isn't that he was denied bail but that he hasn't even had a bail hearing.
If you are unfamiliar with this case we urge to read about it now!
(Because he was held on a probation hold, which don't get bond hearings, and serving time for the charges he pled guilty to.)

Looks like some of the mainstream press might actually be beginning to get
it. After finding several machines with misconfigued PC Anywhere clients
the author of this article tries to warn one of the offenders and meets
with rather strict resistance.

The next major US war may be fought over the net. While this article
paints a rather disturbing scenario it is pretty much just an ad for some
company called iDefense.
