Postcards From The Edge BBS

Postcards From The Edge Bulletin Board System was an old "Renegade" BBS that used to be dial up only. Roughly 4 years ago I moved it from dial up to storage and ran a UNIX based BBS. Shortly there after I un-archived the "Renegade" board and ran it via telnet. Due to time constraints and lack of interest with an old DOS based BBS it was re-archived. PFTE in its new evolution is back and back strong. I received much e-mail about putting the board back up and seeing my own hobby interest were still there I decided to accept. If not for posterity sake, certainly for the fact that I received much knowledge and networked quality people in my life because of said system. Hopefully the system will meet the needs of those that connect to it. I will continue to upgrade this page as I see fit. As of now I have added a couple ASCII graphics that were part of my conference menus. The JPG is from the main menu. Just a glimpse of the style PFTE had as a Renegade BBS. For those of you not familiar with Renegade, it's highly configurable, in fact limitless on how you can trick out the system and its free. A deciding factor for someone who at that time had a budget.

Over the years while running the BBS I acquired a ton of information. Most of it still with me. I've decided to work on putting it on the web for all that are interested. My initial interest in the hobby aside from the "Trash 80" (TRS-80), Apple II, and various Erector Sets and Batteries, was Telephony. As such I am going to start placing my Phreaking Archives on line for your perusal. I will also be placing a couple magazines, some now defunct others still active.
