There Are Two Versions

Blackwater says their convoy was attacked by militia men dressed as civilians. It was all self defense.

The Iraqis say, a car near the convoy didn't stop, and Blackwater sprayed it. Next the Iraqi police opened up on Blackwater. There was a firefight in a town square, and Blackwater executed at least twenty civilians. Civilians claim a Blackwater helicopter sprayed the crowd.
