BOMBING PROTESTS U.S. MILITARY PRESENCE

On Sunday, June 23, 1996 a bomb exploded near a U.S. military barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, killing 19 U.S. servicemen and wounding hundreds of people. The eight-story Khobal Towers complex was also heavily damaged in the blast President Clinton is calling "an act of savagery matched only by its cowardice." President Clinton has dispatched a team of FBI investigators to the scene and has promised to bring those responsible to justice.

Most of the fatalities were from the 33rd Tactical Air Wing from Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. They were helping enforce the U.N.'s "no fly, no drive" zone in southern Iraq.

This is the second bombing in Saudi Arabia resulting in U.S. casualties in recent months. The first was last November in Riyadh, killing five Americans and two Indians.

GULF WAR DIVIDES ARABS - Before the Gulf war there were no U.S. combat personnel stationed permanently on Arab soil. Arab countries have traditionally shunned the western world because it is morally corrupt and supports Israel with arms and financing. The gulf war divided the Arab nations and brought the oil rich Gulf states directly under the western security umbrella.

ACCORDING TO PLAN - This is precisely what the United Nations and its constituents have desired. While Soviet power was declining, the Arab world remained fairly uncompliant with the New World Order agenda.

Sadaam Hussein was the U.N.'s solution to its Arab unity problem. He had been a faithful American client for years and was more than willing to invade his tiny neighbor when his U.S. patron gave him the nod. During the invasion President Bush's National Security advisor flew to Saudi Arabia and convinced the king that his country could be invaded next. King Fahd then made the historic decision to allow American combat troops onto Saudi soil, where they have been ever since.

Since he played his part so well, Sadaam Hussein was permitted to keep his job as arch villain of the Middle East. He has since provided encouragement to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to allow the U.S. to install permanent military facilities on their soil. This has caused no small stir among some Muslims, who regard Saudi Arabia as a sacred place and the U.S. as the Great Satan.

LOOK PAST THE LABEL - While arming and training the Nicaraguan Contras to commit acts of murder and sabotage, President Reagan called them "Patriots" and "Freedom Fighters". He also used the same glowing terms to describe the Afghan Mujihadeen. These "Afghan Freedom Fighters" were armed and trained by the CIA for guerrilla warfare against the Soviet troops stationed in Afghanistan.

Recently Saudi nationals have used the same guerrilla tactics to resist an alien army on their soil. The President of the United States has called them "terrorists" and "cowards". It is interesting to note how the labels change, depending on whether the interests of the United States are being served or not.

As the New World Order tightens its grip on the nations, it may expect to find its agents the target of more attacks similar to Saudi Arabia and Oklahoma City. Indeed, it will use these attacks as justification to tighten its grip further through "anti-terrorist" legislation. The cycle of oppression and reprisal cannot last long, however. Already the Beast's days are numbered. "And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain [Middle East]; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him." Daniel 11:45.
