I wonder how long it will take to crack.Sony's Japan unit has figured out a way to let people watch movies that will self-destruct after its over. The company's So-net Internet service provider will soon trial the service in Japan. So-net's new service allows people to download the content from its Web site to their hard drives--but those hoping to add the file to a permanent collection or to copy it could have their attempts frustrated. The company has incorporated a digital rights management (DRM) technology from software maker Japan Wave into its service, which should make copying impossible, the report said. Instead of saving a video to a single file and location, Japan Wave's technology splits the data into numerous directories on a hard disk. People need to download special software to play back the various pieces as a continuous movie. There's a second layer of protection: Those who manage to join up the files won't be able to use them for very long. Software embedded in the file is designed to cause it to self-destruct after a given time, quoted Cnet.
Interview with Fyodor on SlashdotIf you don't know who Fyodor is, you probably don't see the intro that comes up when you kiddies scan. The interview goes through some tips, suggestions and stories. It's a good read although, you can imagine it spawned a lot of the "how do you hack?" questions. Check it out

Should we believe this story?I was on The Register this morning and saw the story 'Make way for the contender to Google's crown'. They are talking about a site http://turbo10.com/. Out of the several times I tried to get to it, I could not even pull up a page. I am always interested to hearing who is going to compete with google.com because I don't know how it would be possible. Not only for the search technology but also for the catalogs, groups and especially images. This actually made me feel like people are not thinking with their heads. Check out the story

I HATE [TechTV | Unscrewed]!!!
Being a somewhat funny guy, me, who once did stand up comedy, I find this show not only untechnical but also not funny. It doesn't offend me, it doesn't make me laugh. I feel really sorry for Kevin Rose for making an appearance on the show. Really Kevin I feel bad. Tech TV is really striking a low note in the tech community. I don't know why things have changed on this channel but knowing how summer season is around the corner, I wonder if TechTV will make me changee the channel for good. Pat - You Rock, Kevin - Hope you make Defcon., Yoshi - You make great mods, Morgan - You shouldn't left the show, Cat - will I see you at Defcon?
I love Tech TV but this site says outloud what you are thinkingI was looking for the reason Chris Pirillo left Call for Help. I thought he was annoying but does know what he is talking about, unlike some people I know. When I stumbled on to
http://www.techtvsource.com/ , the site seemed to know a lot about the shows as I do and he was stating some that I never heard about. I do talk to one staff member sometimes and they tell me somethings that I hold in confidence and I know it's mostly the producers that stir up the trouble but this site made me stop and read about the things that you might find wierd about this ever-changing channel.
Bored at work? Here is something maybe looking at. It's a hacker challange. I am not sure if it is worthwile of not but it might be something you have been looking for. Is seems the first step is to guess the password to begin. There is a FAQ and the rules are online too. The players gather on IRC and chat onine as well. Check it out at

I have a ASUS A7N8X and now theres a cureApearently there is a problem with linux and the n-force chipset. Well Kevin Rose on the Screensavers said he found an RPM for RedHat 9 that will detect everything. I have yet to try it but I thought it would be worth posting. Check out

Straight from bugtraq Cool exploit for the Axim cameras, I can't wait to 0wn 1! Updates are available to update your firmware.
the following security vulnerability: by accessing http://camera-ip//admin/admin.shtml (notice the double slash) the authentication for "admin" is bypassed and an attacker gains direct access to the configuration.
Using this vulnerability, an attacker can reset the root password, then enable the telnet server by modifying configuration files, giving the attacker interactive access to a Unix like command line, allowing her to execute arbitrary commands as root.
*Vulnerable Packages:*

I just want to point up that the name you are using is the name of a demy god that children were sacrificed on the altar for him by their parents in ancient times it is not so nice since that name was used against the god of Israel but this is up to you
