PRO-93 (200-0523) and PRO-95 (200-0525) Tutorial: How to Reset and Initialize the Scanner

The only difference between the PRO-93 and the PRO-95, is the number of channels each has; the PRO-93 having 300 channels and the PRO-95 having 1000. The method of programming for each is the same.

If the PRO-93 or PRO-95's scanner's display locks up or does not work properly after you connect a power source, you might need to reset or initialize it. This tutorial will explain  How to Reset the Scanner and How to Initialize the Scanner.

Reset the Scanner

If you have problems with the scanner, reset it first.   All information stored in memory will remain.

Step 1: Power the Scanner Off, Then Back On

Rotate the OFF/VOLUME knob counter-clockwise to turn off the scanner, then clockwise to turn it back on again.
  
Step 2: Press the Reset Button

Insert a pointed object, such as a straightened paper clip, into the reset hole on the left side of the scanner above the PWR DC 9V jack.
  
Step 3: Reset the Scanner

Gently press and release the reset button inside the opening.

NOTE: Pressing the reset button does not erase the scanner's memory.

  

Initialize the Scanner

This procedure clears all information you have stored in the scanner's memory.

  

Step 1: Power the Scanner Off, Then Back On

Rotate the OFF/VOLUME knob counter-clockwise to turn off the scanner, then clockwise to turn it back on again. Welcome To Dual Trunking displays.
  
Step 2: Intialize the Scanner
  
PRO93/95 Welcome to Dual Trunking PRO-93/95 Keypad
  
Press 0 then 1 while Welcome To Dual Trunking appears. Initializing Please Wait displays for about 2 seconds.

NOTE: Do not turn off the scanner until the initialization is finished. When the initialization is finished, M000 displays on the top line and Bank 0 Ch 00 displays on the bottom line.
