Some special BC245XLT Virtual Key Pad features and functions include…

CTRL+Click on a Bank Key moves to scanning or searching that bank.

Click on an ID in the Hit List Box will return you do that ID, even it the scanner has already moved on to another trunk bank(as with using the scanner alone, conventional frequencies may slow the response).

The green numbers to the left of the active ID box indicate which trunk banks are active. If you Right-Click it there are some other options.

For uploading IDs, you can enter Bank numbers as Numbers or Letters, where A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. If you already have your files set up with Letters to work with the 895, then you can leave them that way.

NOTE: To set the BC245XLT up for use with Radio Manager follow these steps. (for first use only)

1. Hold the E key while powering on the 245.

2. Press the Hold / Up Arrow key until PCCON is displayed.

3. Press the E key

4. Press the Hold / Up Arrow key until bps 9600 is displayed

5. Turn off the 245.
From now on, when you want to computer control the 245 hold the E key until it beeps twice and the keylock symbol starts flashing, then start Radio Manager. When finished running Radio Manager, press E, then hold E until the keylock symbol stops flashing.

Helps organize and manage radio frequencies that amateur radio operators and scanner enthusiasts use. With Frequency Manager you can store, sort, print, and search for frequencies. Plus, Frequency Manager lets you import and export text files for other applications that don't support Paradox files directly. Each Frequency List file has 12 fields. They are Class, Service, Frequency, Mode, Call Sign, Note, Brief, Last Monitored Date, Rating, Offset, Aux. File, and Squelch Tone. The Note field is especially helpful. You enter the name of a text file into the Note field. Then when you want to view the text file you simply press the Edit Note button that starts your favorite text editor with the text file loaded. You can then enter free-from notes into the text file. For example, you could have a file called FWFD.TXT that is entered into the Note field. When you press the Edit Note button Window's NotePad program loads the FWFD.TXT file which contains detailed information on the Fort Worth Fire Department. The information might include district information, unit designations, and fire department jargon and codes. Other features include, Easy Add to make adding similar records a breeze, Import and Export files from and to other programs, Select records according to matches on any field, Search for records using Class, Service, and/or Frequency fields, Sort by Class, Service, Frequency, or Rating fields, You choose the font and title for reports.
