Yes, the BBS was off-line for a few hours. It was a case of "too many messages for UBB to handle" and "I don't have time to fix this right now", so I left the BBS off and the website on for a few hours until I had a chance to fix it.

I pruned the message bases WAY back so that should keep us on-line for a few days.

It would appear most of you don't know very much about Jeff. Firstly, "Jeff Hunter" is almost certainly not his real name.

Secondly, he has explicitly stated that he prefers to be an absentee dictator and to put an absolute minimum of effort into maintaining the forum community. There's only one thing he WILL come down on - and come down hard on - and that's threats to the forum. Totse Army for example was a legal threat, so anyone related was perma-banned.

In short, you'll only see him post when things are going wrong.

Otherwise just google "UBB 5.5.b" and it will tell you the release date.

The adds are not pop ups, they redirect the current window to a page adertiseing something, and you need to click on a link at the top to proceed to the page you clicked on.
