As we know in Science, energy cannot be destroyed. We also know that our body produces energy, obviously. So where does that energy go when we are dead?
If you talking about where does the energy that is the 'soul' go, then there's a thread called 'Is there such a thing as a soul and if so what is it?' which started it off quite nicely.
If you're talking about energy that fuels our body then I would guess that it lies dormant until something comes along to gobble it up. Like a wriggly maggot or something.

Body: Worms, rats, etc..
Soul: some kind of spiritual recycling. If you're arrogant in your lifetime you'll be dismantled into many energy cells, swallowed by various arrogant entities (hypothesis, not dogma...)

It disperses in different forms. As we deteriorate some of it is consumed by bacteria, some by plants, some by bugs and worms.

Energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed, but it contains the provisional clause under normal circumstances.

I guess it flows, continously, as the universe does on all its levels.

Looks like you will be swallowed up by maggots. http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)
