This about the Christian god mostly I suppose. But how was he created? Where did he come from? I don't believe in god by the way. I'm just curious as to what people think about this.

The network of interwebbing reactions with chemicals, molecules, and atoms in the universe since matter came into existence and formed cycles and patterns, which spawned the evolution of life. From this life came (jumping ahead in time) humanity, whose consciousness and potential had by that time developed. That collective consciousness is God.

This question has been adressed in another topic. So I will just go there.

I've had this question myself. After doing some searching, I found a site that gave me an answer I was satisfied with. I could post the answer and take credit for it myself, but then that would be PLAGURISM, so here's the link: http://www.christiancourier.com/questions/whoMadeGod.htm

either he made himself or hi mom made him or the atoms of the universe spawned him

I take it you'd agree with most pantheists in saying that the entity known as "God" was omnipresent.

But see, that doesn't answer the original question posed by the author of this thread: namely, what (or alternatively who) created this entity in the first place? Well?

I don't think anyone can answer that question without recurring to speculation. So you inevitable have to guess that God just exists because He does or because of some obscure and unprovable design. Ergo, there is no adequate justification for the existence of God.

IGNORANCE created GOD!

God could only spring from nothingness, because God created everything, Nothingness is God? God could not have been made by the Universe because God made everything, how could the Universe create God before God even created it? People who meditate to get closer to God, do so by freeing their mind of everything, Hence, Nothingness, the key to atonement (at one ment). So matter occupies space, which is nothingness, which means all matter exists within nothingness, we exist within nothingness which is God. If you want another opinion,...well; ask God.

"So matter occupies space, which is nothingness"

space is not nothingness, or light could not travel, since light acts as both a particle and wave, being a wave it needs a medium which will carry it. so to say that space is nothingness is quite incorrect.

"People who meditate to get closer to God, do so by freeing their mind of everything, Hence, Nothingness, the key to atonement (at one ment)."

so by not thinking we get closer to god, have you ever thought about that, and what it really implies?

it's almost than christianity's "don't question god"

God haas always been. He started with a previous world that he did not like. So he destroyed it with water. This time I interpret that once he is through with it he will destroy it with fire. The bible is a great resource. If you read it thoroughly you'll find that it's also a teller of the future.

Well, in theory, god could have create himself from the future. If this was the case, you wouldn't need to know what created god before he did, it wouldn't be relevant seeing as he was created.

Stupid god.

The christian answer.

He always did exist.

The hardcore christian answer:

You dare to question God?

THe Zen answer.

Meditate on this question.

Use it as a koan. Cease with the monkey mind logic.

The answer will come to you.

The Cultist's answer:

I am God and explaining my origins is none of your bussiness since your brain would be unable to handle it.

MY answer.

HE proabally fucked himself into being.

EASY

I read a book by Stephen Hawking, and it adressed where all the particles and stuff could've come from, since they too have to come from somewhere, They spontaneously appear. That's it. We can't understand it but thats what happens. So why not the same with God?

Why shoehorn a God in when when it isn't neccessary to the equation?

And God, being the person he is, returned the favor.

Stupid god.

Following that logic, humans could become so technologically advanced in the future that they create the universe in the past and we all exist inside a logically impossible temporal paradox
