Can we ever see clearly into the world, into it's nature? If our own personality infringes on all of our perceptions then we'd have to go completely beyond the bounds of ourself, but then what would be looking back? If there was something looking it would have to be still part of the "created" world, If my opionion on this matter is what causes me to look at the world in this way, makes or contributes to my wexperience then if I was to have no idea's what would I be functioning on? the momentom of past wexperience? just letting things happen, if I show attatchment, but if I'm already attac

Umm... yeah. Bingo. The mind is just an advanced means of creating the comforting illusions necessary for day-to-day subsistence.

I feel like typing, so I'll pretend you're talking to me. And hell, maybe you were.
The human mind is, among other things, a melange of chemicals. Some chemicals - like that tasty serotonin - make you happy and confident. Others make you sad, meek, and a huge fan of Bauhaus. Happy chemicals are delivered for various things, but one of the biggest chem-pumpers is when you somehow set yourself above your fellow man. By dominating others, you put yourself closer to better breeding stock, and evolutionarily speaking, that's really all you want.
Sadly, although every man possesses an inborn desire to be a king (whether he acknowledges it or not), precious few can be. The effects of getting beaten at the evolutionary game, and hence getting fewer happy chemicals, can be severe; your immune system weakens, your blood pressure shoots up, you're more likely to die of heart disease, and you'll probably fall into what we'd call clinical depression. Eventually, without those happy chemicals to keep yourself kicking, you might slash your own wrists in despair, or just not eat enough until you die of malnutrition.
Due to this ever-present threat, our pal evolution has equipped the human mind with the ability to fool itself remarkably well. Rather than let you hang yourself, your mind creates numerous comforting illusions to keep your rolling. Maybe that attractive young lady is giving you the eye; maybe that article you wrote will be picked up by a major news outlet; maybe there's a just and loving God who's gonna save us from ourselves someday. Take comfort in that, if it truly does comfort you, but that's all it is. A highly effective defense mechanism, and nothing more.
