hello nice to meet someone else who has decided to pursue other christian religious texts that have not been doctored by king james. and have not been chosen by the christians as 'worth including in the bibe.

you my friend are a breath of fresh air...

anyway. i have read many translations of the gospel of st thomas...and i find it enthralling... if i swing towards any religion personally it is theraveda buddhist...and the gospel of st thomas has a lot in common with buddhism......

you will find out more good meaty info at www.misericordia.edu/users/davies/thomas/thomas.html (http://www.misericordia.edu/users/davies/thomas/thomas.html)

i have the addresses of the web sites, as i printed off the documentation when i found it about 5 years ago....but since then the sites have been removed...so you will have to dig around a bit to get the texts.

Most Gnostic sites will have links to the contents of the Nag Hammadi texts (Nag Hammadi being where they were found). I should point out, though, that in most cases the gnostic gospels were written even later than the canonical ones. If you doubt the Bible's take - and I do - it's hard to argue for the veracity of the Nag Hammadi texts.

Really i didn't know that. Anyway i'm very sceptical about all religious texts. Mainly because of the flaws when first written an then the subsequent interpretations of translators.

In that sense, the Nag Hamadi texts are surprisingly accurate. Since the originals were found in the desert after about 1700 years, they only went through one translation. The problem is, even in the original script, it was a lot of silly shite.
