There's lots of Germanic names that Jews also have. There was a time when they coexisted in the same country as the 'Aryans,' you know.

My father's family were Danish Jews who emigrated to the US in the early 1900s(most of them married non-jews, though), but I wouldn't be considered a Jew by birth because my mother's Irish.

So, I'd gravitate towards no. I think your mom would know if she was Jewish, and you'd probably know as well.

Of course, my immediate family only found out about our heritage because of a letter from relatives back in Denmark letting us know that we might be vulnerable to Tay Sachs(a genetic disease that is generally only found in Ashkenazic Jews), so maybe your mom doesn't know, either.

I can't be 100% sure the Holocaust actually occurred, but then one cannot be 100% sure of anything. For all I know, all human history preceding 12.13 am on February 17th, 1972 is an illusion.
