rite...i guess u all no im Christian n I dont think the Bible is a fraud...
if you ever go really deep in reading the bible and contrast what's happening in the world, you'll see that in every situation it matches.
I'm not a monk and did not read the bible 1000 times bt i just got the outline of it...so i cant pick out verses out for u bt heeres a historical thing
ex) When Jesus was to be crucified and the Roman judge guy said to the Jewish ppl 'Do you really want to kill this man? And are sure this man is not the son of God?'
they replied: 'Let's kill him we are certain that he is not the son of God'
judge: 'how can u b so sure?'
they: 'o if he truly is let there be bloodshed and genocide in our future generations! If he truly is son of God let our generations see suffering constantly!'
n so it happens:
the jews were killed my Germans (genocide), and now are in constant warfare with the...forgot the country name...the country that fites israel over their land
n they do see suffering constantly...everyday there are mad car bombers in israel
have anything to say? just post it up in forums for a reply

So what you are saying is that the bible predicted that the Jews would go through a lot of shit if they crucified Jesus?
The thing is, not only do I believe that the bible is wrong, I dont believe in all the Jesus stuff. I do have a theory on the Jesus character, but it is not fact the any of that happened long ago. If the first part of you evidence is erroneous it completely discredits the prediction. You are validating an uncertainty with another uncertainty. Hey, you may be right but you are most likely not.

hmm well if ur gunna talk to me like that, u dumb aetheist
i could say a million things about u n piss u off pretty badly...christian doesnt mean they dont no how to piss off ppl
they simply dont do that thing
even if Jesus was false its a good thing that Christianity was made to transform dumbshit ppl like u into good gentlemen and ladies.
so stop saying 'you're wrong!' say 'i have a different opinion'
and then support it instead of just pissing the thread poster off
and btw what the hell would u no about the bible? u didnt even read it yet http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)
u cant say its wrong without even reading it

post your prediction about Jesus then on this topic...i'd like to hear about it
and the Bible itself didn't really predict it...it simply recorded what happened.
The jews said they would leave the bloodshed on their descendents...and God granted their wish.

Calm down. I dont see where you are getting all this anger from. If you recall my last sentence "Hey, you may be right but you are most likely not."
First of all, you are using dumb to describe the wrong thing. It would be more fitting for too immature to realize the truth, question parents and upbringing, and use logical and rational thought people "HInt hint"
Next, I am just stating my opinions as a response to yours. Your intelligence levels clearly show when you flame my reply instead of disproving it to support your cause, if you can.
And a final thought on your post. You merely presented a connection between two things in a fictional story. THis post would fit very well in the conspiracy section with the rest of those nuts.
You presented no proof, no evidence, no reasons.
It is very sad that this plague called religion still exist today. Understand, I am not against religion, I just choose not to support it because of the lack of sufficient reason. I merely want the rest of society to realize this as well. Luckily, the foundations of religion that are necessary for it to survive and grow, are crumbling as we speak. THis change is more clear in the more intellectuals areas. However it is still slow, but steady. It is not your fault, nor that of the people that brought the disease upon you.
All I am trying to do is give you the cure.

By the way, your name is very intriguing, may I ask, what inspired it?

It's important to note, Bakdoor wizard, that that whole series of events probably didn't happen that way. There is no record - and keep in mind, the Romans were insane about keeping records - of Pontius Pilate (the "Roman judge guy") or any of his predecessors releasing a prisoner as a "Passover Tradition."
It's also highly unlikely that Pilate would be involved at all if Jesus was the religious rebel the Bible makes him out to be. More likely, he was preaching political rebellion against Rome. And if he was doing that, there's no way he'd be released, regardless of what the assembled Jews had to say.
Even the phrasing of the whole episode shows signs of tampering. In particular, Pilate claims to "wash my hands of this." At the time, washing one's hand to atone for a murder was not a Roman custom, and certainly no atonement would be required for the execution of a rebel in any case. This was in fact a custom relatively unique to the Essenes, a group living at Qumran along the Dead Sea.
One does not need to read the Bible to know its falsehood; a healthy familiarity with history can handle that task quite nicely. I'd be happy to share some more of these historical innaccuracies if you like, but given the tone you've manifested, you appear to prefer joyous ignorance.

i personally think the bible transforms people into completly irrational thinkers.
it may be good for your well-being, but id rather have a chemical high.
And the jews and palestinians have been fighting before biblical times, so its an easy prediction to make. Jews are stupid, no wonder they get so much shit i could of predicted that myself. they should all be taken care of(maybe nicer then cooking in an oven) i think christians and muslims should also be taken care of.
we should round up all of the religios fucks and arm them with Ak-47s and put them into a box and watch them to destroy each other! and put it on tv!

It seems that after realizing the truth, or from fear of discovering the truth, Bakdoorwizard has been silenced. We are one step closer to freedom.
I like your style ArmedandAngry. However, out of curiosity I plan on reading most of the main religious texts to find these discrepencies for myself. I am currently working on the original "bible", The Hindu Gita (I believe hinduism to be one of the more credible religions).

More power to you, Sam. Being pretty well convinced on the metaphysical level of theism in general being a little off-kilter, I tend to avoid religious texts as if they were Ebola and I was a malnourished Congolese boy. Nonetheless, you get points in my book just for wading through them.
