if you were raised in a jewish household you would belive what they believe. the same with every religion. the idea that all other believers of all other religions are wrong is just too hard to swallow. each religion is as valid as the next one, which is to say, they are all bullshit.

Only a very small percentage of people choose a religion thats unpopular in their particular region.

That alone should say something in itself.

Nope. Each provides people with a natural human trend, according to what fits them best, and fits the system best.

If you wanna be religious and dumb, it is your fault, but nobody forces people to make a wrong use of religion. Just like anything, some know how to use it, some don't and are only products of a system.

But that's not the concept of religion, it is humans exploiting others and/or exploited by others.

You see this is where the superiority complex of each religion fails. Christians say only Christians will enter Heaven or those whole follow Christian ideals, but they also say that every person has the freedom to belief in the correct religion.

But this is not the case, if you are born into an avidly Muslim household in an anti Christian society, you would be persecuted for even thinking of becoming a Christian, but the thought wouldn't even enter your head in the first place because all your life you have been told how Christianity is wrong and probably a whole bunch of mistruths on how Christians are trying to wipe out the Muslim world etc.

If we were to follow the notion that only one faith is the right one, the one to gain entry to heaven, then those who are born into that correct faith have an almost external advantage, God chooses where a child should be born, those born into extremist families have no liberty - subsequently they have no chance for eternal happiness, though of course they belief their religion is the correct one and Christianity is the wrong faith instead. But this is a whole other argument on whether there are multiple God's and Heaven's for the multiple faiths that exist on Earth..

well, most everyone in my house is lds minus my mum and i. i just chose never to get baptised when i was eight years old, because i was skeptical of religion and why exactly i needed it in my life.

i've been reading into alot of different religions, even retouching mormon/christian beliefs again just for the knowledge. but for some reason something got to me when i began to study voodou. i've been extremely interested in it for the past year, not sure if i actually believe it or not. just curious..that's all.

so yeah..i think there comes a time where you have to stop eating whats being fed to you and create your own ideas.
