I originally had this posted in Spurious Generalities but I've settled here. If anyone feels this should be somewhere else, move it.

[idiotic ramblings]

Recently I was talking to a friend of mine who went to a private Christian school. He said that every day they have a chapel service and today the president of the entire campus came to talk to the stdents in chapel. The man gave a speech about leaving your past and doing better. That was it. Normally, one would assume that someone of such high stature would say something a bit less beat into the ground than that, correct? After eharing this, i asked how much tuition for the high school was and he said that it was $5000.00 for highschool and for middle school. Now, there are around 1000 students in the university, 700 students in the high school, 700 in the middle school, and 5-600 in the elementary school.

I have met the man before and he is your stereotyped Christian leader. He has tons of expensive clothes, expensive cars, 2 or 3 large houses, and all other things you could think of. This guy is rich. Filthy rich. He gets free stuff from people he knows (disciples). For what you say? For nothing. When anyone talks about him as a person they say, "He has been a great Christian for years and is a man of God." "He is a hard working man." etc. Basically, he was the ideal Christian child and grew up around the faith and came into this job as president by word of mouth. The old president "quit" and this man took his place because they needed a good Christian leader.

Now, my idea...

Would it not be easy to suddenly become this "ideal Christian" and start making it known to all people. Make a few good grades in the process. Keep this up until you graduate high school and all the Christian colleges want you to come to be a part of their student body. Then you get internships as youth ministers. Next you'll be a preacher with a moderate education. (I've met racist, redneck, inbreds that are youth ministers and are considered some of the higher class of their community.) Then you find your opportunity to build your own christian school or take over the president's position at one already built. Now you do some sissy work for a year and you're finished. With your power, you could hire people to do most of your jobs as president for you. You would have countless hours of free time and loads of stupid money. Then all you have to do is give a few speeches to kids about how smoking is bad and Christ won't like it, and cry at a few baptisms and you are in the good eye of the community with tons of cash for whatever you could possibly want.

You hear people dreaming of being a celebrity or something and making millions. Why do that when an easier acting career is staring you in the face? After you've done this, you could make your way into a pollitical office. Who knows, you could start "The Revolution".

On a side note. One teacher that I used to have was speaking about different types of churches or something. He said "The majority of my church are wealthy, white, people of high moral status. We tend not to let people that aren't like us in. Our leaders are esteemed people and are great Christians. Our church is probably the best in this city." These people are fascists anyway. You shouldn't feel bad about deceiving them.

And now you know why such money hoarding religions exist.

Religion is the ultimate money making oppurtunity, it just requires a considerable time investement and you have to be a smooth operator.

Religion takes in billion of dollars selling absolutely nothing, has a low overhead, and is tax exempt.

That's a goldmine just waiting to be harvested.

If you do actually go in though, don't give anyone reason to suspect that you are not a true believer. Watch what you say, what you write, etc. Also be sure that you don't start believing the shit you say, because then you'll be roped and can no longer abuse the system.

A free thinker in a church is a daaangerous proposition. You can manipulate the sheep like puppets by simply prefacing everything you say with scripture or otherwise tie it in and make it look like some holy agenda.

And people think I'm crazy when I say that the religious TFs on &TotSE should go under the Scams and Rip-Offs section.

I just submitted it. If enigma decides to post it, we'll just see where he thinks this one should go.

I agree it is total hypocrasy. You have so called great Christians like telle-evangelist Benny Hin who raises some 30 million for a "healing center" and then decideds not to build it. They are calle false teachers and anti-Christs, wolf in sheeps clothing and so on. Not true Christians. I'm a Christian and it angers me to see people live like that. they sit in the lap of luxury while others go hungery. They ignore the whole concept of Christianity, of servous to others and love for fellow man. Their God is Cash! It is a scam. The sad thing is that so many people think they are just great Christian people. I realy think that most Christians are so lost as to what the bible teaches that they wouldn't be able to see evil if it spit in thier face.......They must not pay any attention to Jesus teachings.
