View Full Version : Can't you guys stay on topic?

I haven't noticed it as much in any other forum, but it seems like every thread I check out in here will start with one (usually simple and straight forward) topic, but by page two it's on to something TOTALY irrelevant to the topic header... why do you guys pull that? If you wanna discuss something that's completely unrelated to the topic then why don't you just go off and start a new thread?

There's no point burying a new topic on page two, and it is really distracting to those of us who would like to read about the topic we clicked on!

You should check out "Politics:" and "Operation:" lots of thread de-railing there, of which I'm guilty of...

Speaking of topic headers and content, "Bring that Shit in here" didn't have anything to do with Shit and I was very disappointed. Well, ok, I wasn't, but somebody has to change the subject...

Shouldn't this thread be in B&M anyway?

It was a reference to the confontational nature of the thread. Jeez, you're unpleasable.

Thats the reason I was gone for so long, the fact that people whould not stick to a topic. ANY religious discussion about a specific religious experience, truth, idea, etc, would be invaded by smarmy little smug atheist materialist fuckers who would just constantly interrupt with their "Oh yeah, there is no god," bullshit and ruin it. I am still firm in my opinion that atheists should be barred from posting in a Forum meant for religious discussion, since the only possible motivation they can have here is to be assholes, and obviously have nothing to offer in the realm of discussion of spirituality.

Yeah, or maybe you can't refute us. Quit bitching, religious people are the ones who constantly insist Atheism is a faith in itself.

Can you be 100% sure that there is no higher power?

For that matter, can any of use be sure that there aren't green unicorns drinking tea in the red eye of Jupiter?

Practically everything is a belief.

me?

Bitch Bitch Bitch Bitch Bitch. The nature of these topics is the reason that they get off of the posted topic. that should be obvious. That and the some of the people here

Can you be 100% sure that there is? The onus of proof rests with the affirmative side. Sing along, gang, you know the words!

Nope. I can't.

That's why it's faith.

Fine. But don't expect me to believe in something that even you admit you have no way of knowing the accuracy of.

This happens at every message board I go to. It's normal.

Also, (not to be funny by changing the topic) but I just saw a thread in spurious complaining about the newbs and how they're ruining the board. It reminded me of how I saw about 40 of those same threads at another board I go to... until we all just decided to ignore the newbs. Now anytime the "old newbs" complain about the "new newbs", we just tell them to ignore it because it's already been said and done.

Wow I'm on message boards too much...
