You have made a powerful enemy this day.
I kid, I kid. Actually, according to the Slavonic Josephus or the writings of the Ebionites - I forget which - Jesus was a hunchback who frightened children. See, gang, this is why I love reading history, you learn all these neat facts.

Heh... I knew it looked familiar.
Anyway, where are all the bible thumpers to punish me for blasphemy?
Where are all the religious fanatics to declare Jihad on my ass?
Where are all the God-fearing folk to promise me fire and brimstone?
I need to piss someone off today. It's on my "to do" list.
Come on, people! I'm Satan incarnate! Burn me at the stake! *makes a horns gesture with hand*

You shall taste the scourge of your tasteless words about Christ Jesus(pbuh). May you gorge yourself on molten treasures.

Jesus, son of Joseph, born and raised in the small, rural Middle East village of Nazareth two millennia ago, never wrote a WORD, at least none that happen to survive. Accounts of his life are to be found only in the New Testament -- accounts which are anything but objective reports on events -- while only passing notice is given in other historical references, like the dead sea scrolls. Those Biblical accounts, indeed, were recorded long after his death through second or third, and even fifth hand recollections of, by then, old men reflecting back on their youth, and adding things as they saw fit! So one might realize your not really reading the word of anyone but an old mans fantasy.
Still, despite the certainty of distortion and the obvious exaggeration of mythical elements, despite revisions in translation and alterations through the centuries to conform to the needs of contemporary church authorities -- despite these potential traps,
people are still going to believe what they want. To this I say who is the bigger fool......the fool himself, or the ones who follow him.
Go in Bliss my friend, and don't step on any of my molten treasures.

The Quran talks about him, and states things he said according to the person whom wrote it, after the person before him wrote it, after the person before him wrote it. Get the point, well I doubt it because Your view of Reality, seemingly modern and sophisticated, is stained with ancient, myth-based misconceptions. As you grew through childhood, you learned to see life that way from your cultural environment. You absorbed fallacies and artificial assumptions presented as facts. You were indoctrinated to accept beliefs as though they described Reality, when they actually distort your perception of it!! Having learned those lessons well, you carry the inner conflict, self doubt, fear, and pain inherent to people believing in something that is not there.............God, or cartoons for that matter.

GodisFake, its a belief damnit who cares whether its real or not, and don't try to prove it wrong or right because you can't apply reason to a belief! How stupid are you atheists!?

read something about this b4 probably in the "Hiram Key." yah, neat piece of info but still pretty debatable. We can, to an extent, be certain that jesus wasnt that tall, maybe even 5'4 to 5'7, had a flat nose, dark skin, pretty much the look of the semite ie not like the european he is typically portrayed as in the arts.

Hammer&Sickle has a point here. It does not matter whether you have damning proof of this or that matter. It ultimately boils down to whether the person you are talking to will accept what you are saying or not. We have to remember that when we point to a certain detail or create an objection regarding a person's belief, expect the worst form of reaction to that point you have just created, well intentioned or not, that point was an attack on the person's view of the world, perhaps equalling an attack on his/her's person even if it were merely verbal. When it comes to religion or belief, as Hammer&Sickle pointed out, reason carries little weight (or perhaps convetional reasoning) when in matters of faith...excuse my ramblings, im tired, thats all

The people who say we're fools to believe anything that was written down thousands of years ago should apply this same logic to themselves. Why should I believe any of you? Are your hasty little scribblings upon the electric internet ether so wonderfully full of wisdom because you wrote them only a few hours ago? You think the truth about anything has a sell-buy date?
Idiots! Wild ass men! We all die alone. And we'll all find out whether punkin' on God was a good idea or not---alone. Eventually.
Meanwhile, you nematodes that have picked up some substandard typing skills, don't think that that necessarily makes you an expert in anything. The first step towards not being a self-righteous idiot is to realize that you are one. It's a paradox that few dare to ever learn.

For those who grip so tight their Godly beliefs, knowing they have never seen, heard, or touched him, not even really knowing what their God looks like, the hard reality of everything they believe being a swindle upon them by greedy religious leaders is sometimes to much, and they will lash back at you in defense of their beliefs like a mother bear protecting it's cub, and that aint good. But I tolerate and understand it.
And I never reason with people to try and get them to change their mind. I'm only telling of my experiences, and my point of view on the issue at hand. So if I have offended you in any way by you thinking thats what my motives were I apologize.
Maybe you are right, and I am wrong...................but I doubt it, ooops, there I go again.
