After hearing a few thousand christians going on about how we will know no sin (smacks of no free will) and shall spend eternity praising god (not exactly my idea of a good time), I want to know what all the fuss is about this place. Even eternal bliss would grow tiresome after the first few millenia. So really, what is the allure of heaven?

Note: I was referring to the christian version of paradise, but you dont have to. The only ones I find remotly attractive are Nirvana or Oblivion.

I have nothing really to say here, you make sense, but I'll point how frustrated you are about to get with the responses of brainwashed goons. I shall watch and chuckle.

I don't believe in sin hence I must be in heaven now.

first, look up and understand the idea of god's grace.

the clearest understand i have of heaven is simply that it is the state of being in god's grace; hell, conversely, is being eternally removed from the grace of god.

there's more to be said, but i'm too lazy to say it right now. http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

Heaven won't be all praising God. That is a big misconception about heaven. The Bible say we will (those who go to heaven) build our houses and then tend to are orchards. The modern day translation of that is "living how you want to live and doing what you want to do". Keep in mind though peoples' lives will be up to the Bible's standards so not everything can be done, however, we will be perfect then I that won't matter. SO in reality in won't be all praising God, some of it will but not all of it. SO don't be misled when people say it will all be praising God. The time not spent praising God will be fun and exciting.

PS To those who read this: KillSwitch_J will not be in heaven. He will go to HELL with all the other abominations.

(don't ask why I did the PS message...KillSwitch will understand

.....That he is going to hell! HAHAHA...I hate hate him so much and, no, I wasn't joking that he is an abomination)

Personally, I don't really believe in a God, or a Heaven or Hell. Regardless of this, you are an idiot. Would you rather having eternal bliss or would you rather having an eternity of the most horrible pain imaginable? You said "after the first millenia it would get boring" however in both places, time does not exist. I can't believe anyone (who believes in Heaven and Hell) would rather swap a life of reverence etc. for a life of sin because eternal bliss just didn't cut it for them.

First off, i'll start by saying that the idea of Nirvana scares the shit out of me. i don't like some of the stuff i come up with when i'm thinking clearly.

as for the heaven thing, i've always thought it moves with the times. if you think about it, a lot (not all) of the messed up commandments in the old testament would somehow increase the population of the jews and increase their chance of survival (mostly just the commandments relating to sex). then jesus comes along ages later and says they're out-dated and need to be revised a bit. so suddenly a lot of stuff that would see you sent to hell is no longer a problem. now this is a bit of a simplistic take of it, but i figure that heaven moves with the times, and what was once considered to be very wrong but no longer is is just ignored. if i'm wrong then i guess i'm screwed, but i don't trust a book like the bible so i'll live the way i see fit.
