I worship the gods and goddesses of love from most any religion...not really worship I guess...but I revere the concept of a God/dess of Love.

I was raised Jewish and Wiccan, and I follow those traditions, but I consider myself one of the pretentious newage neo-beat "spiritualists" (whatever that may mean).

Religion is an explanation of man's relationship to God.

With that in mind mine is..

All of us the Creators.

I consider a lot of my religion - not so much as a joke - but with a grain of salt. A lot of it seems a little silly to me and I really only celebrate because of family traditions and some loose convictions in the beliefs.

In my personal life I follow more neo-pagan, Wiccan, and Druid traditions simply because I find they have the best holidays and ways of explaining life teachings, and other things.

But, it's really all to enrich my life however I choose it to. So, I don't lose much sleep over any of it.

Cheers,

Lost

I don't belong to (Or practice) any religeon, although I do believe in God.

I accept many beliefs of different religeons such as buddhism or Indian religeons but what resembles my beliefs the closest are the "Conversations with God" series.

I also believe that everything spiritual (Astral projection, psychics, telekenisis even god) can be explained scientifically but it's too complex to bother trying.

Religiously, Norse Heathen. My indulgences in the philosophy/psychology/historical perspective of minds like Carl Jung, Julius Evola, and Rene Guenon cause my philosophies to coincide with (Traditional, as always) Buddhism, Hinduism, and archaic Christianity (the kind that Milton, Goethe, and Shakespeare wrote about) - though not so much in terms of Christianity.

Religion, however, would definitely be Norse Heathen. Why? I'm ethnically Scandinavian/Teutonic.

Clarify the "homey" qualifier...

Does that mean you are an Agnostic who believes in the principles of the home and household dominion?

I believe in the energy that flows through the entire universe and it's desire for choas and the paradox of trying to reach the impossible goal of equilibrium which in turn creates all things.

In short, I worship infinity.

Like I said earlier, religion is nothing but a description of one's relationship to the all. The problem is when you try to standardize the relationship, you get a very manipulative system where one forces a square peg in a round hole, in a manner of speaking. So as far as that goes I understand that the process of creation is never about duplication but origination. Non of us are the same not even identical twins. That being said I don't think you can have anything but a personal relationship with the all.

id have to just go with that whole hippy "we are one" thing.so much has been proven,in this world and others.theres is no possible way we as ignorant humans using only 10% of our brains can possible BEGIN to comprehed "god" or "heaven".to sum up my belifes, love peace and happyness.its not the only or "right" way,its just the best."god" *seems* to be all about "good" or "light" as upose to "evil" and dark.why? i have no idea.at least in my mind i dont see whay "god" would be seperate such as heaven and hell/dark and light.im rambling..just do reshearch.even here on totse.there is *supposed* evidence but who knwos for sure...2012 is a good topic too,but please u must understand "john titor" was a smart jackass whos havin a good laugh about now..

Calling infinity a god makes as much sense as calling zero a god.

quote:under most religions isn't that their definition of 'god'.

No, most religions define their god as having a personality, being autonomous, having the capability to make decisions, interact with humans, perform miracles, etc.

It's funny people aim for inner peace and all that mumbo-jumbo. Yet examine what inner means it means coming from you, you want peace, act as if it's yours and it is. I'm sure you've felt peace at least once in your life, if so then you can feel that way whenever you choose. Peace is not a reaction it's your point of view.

I'm Christian. Raised in a mixture of Assembly of God and Southern Baptist doctrines. I consider myself much more of a skeptic than most Christians. I also believe in in some eastern philosophies. I look at the Bible a little differently than most people, but believe in it.

most people seem to live entire lives in a state of spiritual quandary... hoping against every doubt to see the face of God after death, so that their soul may rest in eternal divine peace...

only to find in their last breath that the ridiculous notion of a hidden divine energy is utterly insane, immature, and, by definition, an exhausting mental preoccupation. such a belief assumes initial imperfection, and is thus all about the end result, which can only be attained in death, if at all. it in fact, PREVENTS one from connecting to the divine blood that courses through all of existence, both life and death. as such, it cannot provide a truly peaceful rest, since the final thought before life has expired is literally STILL confusion. by 'still', i do not mean it remains, i mean it is motionless.

find true heaven, nirvana beyond all possible doubt, NOW. while you still live. do it by letting go of words and preconceptions, unclutter your mind to remember what it is to be capable of so many different, new emotions as when you were a child. perceive deeply into the paradox of life and...

SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR ONE SECOND AND OPEN YOUR EYES!

I would like to have no religion.

I'm trying to escape religion (trying to find god(s) or earn my way to nirvana or self discovery or whatever) and its bullshit. Instead im trying to follow Yeshua of Nazareth.

Maybe thats just semantics. But as a christian i find religion is such an "opiate of the masses" who often do blindy believe, and only want to hear nice things. Fortuently as an Australian i manage to escape alot of the Amercian religiosity- but its spreading!

To quote George Loveless (Britsh Trade Union founder and methodist, sent to Australia as a covict for his work in establishing trade unions) "May the Lord deliver us all such religion!"
