You can't prove or disprove the existance of God, it just is, so drop it. You can't explain why you feel bad after a girl breaks up with you, you just do. You can give an anatomical description of the events that occur inside your body but that does not mean that it causes you to feel that way. Who is to say that perhaps you feeling that way causes chemicals in your body to produce the external representation of feeling bad?

People don't typically have those kind of experiences - or, at least, they don't attribute it to a higher power.

Until people experience that supra-personal essence, they won't be convinced that it even exists.

1. It is entirely possible to prove the existence of a god; all the god has to do is give a demonstration. This should be no problem for an omnipotent, omniscient being.

2. Even if it can't be proven, then at the very least theists should be able to give evidence. If they can't give evidence, then there is no reason to think that a god exists.
