If you're talking bout the interview with Mel, I personally wondered if he really belives what he said, or if it's just hype for the movie. I am interrested in seeing the movie, and as for it being anti-semitic(whatever) I do not belive watching a movie is going to make people turn against each other. If there are those that do they are not intellegent enough to count there opinion anyway.

Come on, we're talking about fundamentalist Christians here.
They'll turn on their fellow man at the slightest excuse.
I thinks its funny that all of middle American Christian fundies are now supporting what has been called one of the most violent mainstream movies ever made... They complain about seeing a saggy black woman's breast and violent rap lyrics, but when it comes to gory torture and humiliation they are A-OK with it... And then there are the theologians who are complaining that the movie isn't FACTual and completely accurate... ITS A FRIGGIN FAIRY TALE NOT HISTORIC FACT! It reminds me more of the nerds that complained about the Xmen movies rather than the WW2 buffs that complained about the accuracy of "Saving Private Ryan"... But I loved Braveheart, liked the Patriot, and with the violence mentioned above I cannot pass this flick up...

I wonder if anyone would be allowed to make a movie showing Jesus in a bad light, or refuting the fact that he was the son of God. When I'm rich I'm going to make a film called "Crusades" from an Islam point of view, showing the Christians of complete bastards... just for a laugh.

"The last temptation of Christ" and Kevin Smith's "Dogma" (excellent movie) both portray Christ in a way that the religious establishment didnt like.
