Just wondering how many... and what they are
I was raised a christian, then became wiccan...
after I realized the futility of it, I became agnostic, then over like 6 months, went through Thelema, Gnosticism, and Discodianism.
Ive ended up coming back to christianity, because I couldnt find any other purpose to existance. But Ive become a very spiritual, and liberal christian
I went from christian to atheist at about age nine. Since then I have trialed most major religions in an attept to understand them.
All I have achieved in the time is to become a very religious atheist.

Two and a -1, the -1 being agnosticism, which I was raised as.
Well, maybe three and -1 soon. I'm beginning to lean more towards Norse polytheism, just for kicks.
Polytheism is good.
Anyway, I was raised Catholic, but it never stuck in the first place. I didn't really go through religions, I just studied a bunch of them over the years. I don't really have any sort of defined beliefs, although I do like polytheism.

I was raised Jewish and Wiccan. Yes, my parents were both.
And I, personally, don't believe in any religion, but I decided a few years ago that I prefer pagan religions. I mean, if I could choose what I believe then I'd probably be Druid or Wiccan.
But, I can't choose what I believe. It's something that happens involuntarily.
So, I don't believe in any religion.
Cheers,
Lost

catholicism for most of my life (rather the facade, i never really had any connection to it spiritually), then a hop-skip-jump to wicca/paganism, toward atheism, and finally a gradual move toward buddhism. it's all just muddled together, really.

I personally don't classify Buddhism as a religion, its a way of life.
But anyway I was raised United Methodist Christian, then about 2 years ago I realized that there were so many different cultures and religions, each one believing that it was the right one and became confused. My confusion was concluded when I decided that they're all wrong and now I'm an atheist.

Islam, Athiesm, now Agnostic
Atheist >>>>> whatever the hell I am now. I hate labels so I don't care to have one. The point is I believe in a God but I don't believe him to be anything specific, or claim to know what he is or what his intentions are, if any.

Logical conclusion to make, but is it not just as possible that they're all right?
^^ I love how a lot of atheists claim to know they're right, but then complain about how reliious folks claim to know they're right.
Ironic.

Evrey one is right and wrong at the same time. The you that exists in my mind is real, just like the me that exists in your mind is real. On top of that you have multiple versions of you that exist in your mind that you may not be aware of.
Raised atheist, went from Celtic Wicca to the more nebulous neo-pagan. My philosophy most closely mirrors Thelema, but my ritual structure is still Wiccan.

Started for a long time as Christian, but have always been interested in other religions, paying attention to Wichism, particually Hectare, Tarot, Runes and other spiritualist ideas, before moving toward Taoism for a while and now investigating Buddhism. Came across Baha'i religion about half a year back now, after coming across the name by chance in a dictionary. About a week back i decided i was a Baha'i, but a primarily Christian-based one.
P.S. for those of you who don't know, Baha'i simply means you see what is good in all religion, and accept that it is the same force that created them, chosing in its wisdom to reveal itself as befits each culture and time. As such, i can steal ideas from any religion as best befits me, although most of my (limited) faith remains Christian based.

It's not whether you believe in religion, it's whether religion believes in you.
I was born Jewish, and will therefore die Jewish, whether I accept my Judaism or not.

Well, when I was younger I was Christian, but I don't really think it counts then. I was just following it because my family was, I wasn't yet drawing my own conclusions.
I would say I am an atheist, as in I don't beleive in any higher being. To be more specific, I don't beleive in searching for a higher being, as I have no way of knowing if there is one or not. I just beleive in constant self-betterment, and try to acheive this on a day to day basis, rather poorly I might add.

How do you "go through" a religon?
If you are simply picking religons on some superficial basis of what appeals to your personal perspective on life then you are searching blindly.

So you'll be whatever your parents brought you into whether you accept it or not? Thats pretty stupid. And how does a 'religion believe in you'? A religion is a system of beliefs, not some guy who decides whos a part and who isn't. Maybe in a cult.....

You're right. However theres nothing wrong with someone evolving in their beliefes, or growing out of what their parents taught them.

If you think all muslims are the victims of brainwashing and propaganda then ironically it is YOU who are the victim of these techniques, would you be an american by any chance?(possibly isreali, maybe british, but an especially stupid brit)
