Yo,
I invented my own religion, but can't force myself to write it down...all the ideas are there but I don't know how to get them out. So I thought maybe if people ask me about it, I can answer the questions and eventually form some kind of reliable framework...go ahead, start asking.
And don't worry, it's not a spin-off religion or a justification for something ridiculous like....drugs. Not that I don't like drugs.

Who is Jesus, Buddha, Mohammid etc in relation to your beliefs?

Hmm...different questions to what I expected...
How did we get here: I haven't really thought about this one much, because I don't really see it as being all that important. However, the answer would be that our essence has always been here, and always will. The universe just formed around it. This will start to make more sense as the thread goes on.
Purpose: Purpose is another thing that ties in with a lot of the other ideas. But I'll give a brief summary. Our purpose in this universe is to gain both understanding and power. Understanding of the universe we have created (I'll get back to that) and power over it. To understand the universe you have to experience it, learn about it, and so forth. In turn, the more you know about the universe, the easier it is for you to control it and have power over it.
As for Jesus, Buddha, and other religious figureheads, why should I need to explain their existence? If I had to though i'd say...they were more in tune with the universe than anyone else...
More questions!!

I also have a religion (not that I pratice it very well) but I plan on writing it down eventually.
One important thing to think about is what would you worship?
That's so important it crazy!
Is there a God? If so what is his origin, what are his feeligns towards us, did he creat us, does he want us to do anything specific, will he punish us for things, what is his mentality, is he above human nature, has he ever shown himself to us, will he ever show himself to us, does he want us to worship him, does he care is we so much as believe in him?
What is evil? Is it simply a human perception of certain occurances, is it a force in the universe, is it forced upon us by a being [like Satan], do evil actions lead to anything, is there anything that specificly defines evil, will we be punished for acting evil, will we suffer in our lives for acting evil?
Are there any set moral values?
Are there any rules?
What comes after death?
Is what we get in death effected by our actions in life?
Is what we get in death effected by our beliefs in life?
Should we devote our lives to the beliefs of this religion?
Should we define ourselves by this religion?
Are there any figure heads?
Are there are prophets/prophocies?
How should one feel about other religions? Should they be accepted for what they are, denied, fought against?
.....try thinking of any questions you could ask anyone of any religion and answer them for us.
Why write it down? Putting religions on paper was one of the worst things ever to happen to mankind. Once its there in black and white it can never change, it becomes more and more irrelevent every day. It goes from a beautiful, thought provoking concept to an unchangeable object. something that can be used to control and kill.
but hey, maybe your one is different.

Here we go...
I suppose if I worship anything it'd be humanity, but mainly myself. The reason for this is that we, as a collective, are god. Nothing like the god of christianity, where god is considered conscious, we are merely this divine powerful energy, divided into seperate manifestations. As this collective we can affect the world around us e.g. miracles through prayer. When we focus our energy, we can achieve great things. Another way of achieving things is through symbolistic ritual such as blood sacrifices.
Evil doesn't exist, our morals are defined by society.
After death, we are incarnated into another form. Since this universe only exists as the imagination of ourselves, nothing comes of good or evil; there are no rules.
Your life does not have to be dedicated to anything, except doing what you want.

This is hardly your own religeon tho. These are very common beliefs. To me it seems like your taking "Spirituality" and calling it "Religeon".

Um..sounds like you are trying to fuse buddhism and secular satanism. Not that this is bad, but its been done.

I have my own religion, in it we are the creators of our subjective worlds.

Beany: Spirituality is defined as "The state, quality, manner, or fact of being spiritual." (closest definition I could find.)
Religion is defined as several things which are relevant:
" 1. a.Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion."
I think this IS a religion which I have come up with.
RagingPussy: Hell, I don't know much about either of them, so I'll just take your word for it. However, there is more to this religion than has already said. I just don't know how to say it. That's why I want more questions. And I'll describe stuff in more detail if you want. Just ask.
ilbastardoh: Ooo.

TheCheshireCat, have you ever heard of the "Ego"?
Get over yourself. Your thoughts are not new. They may be accurate but everyone reaches the same conclusions eventually, so stop being pretentious.
Also, don't quote dictionary definitions. Quote your own beliefs. Dictionary definitions are only what the writer believed the word/s to mean. If you really understood, you wouldn't have to quote shit.
To be fair, it'd be hard to come up with something new today. Every moral value, every basic belief and so on has already been thought or or possessed by someone. Hell, most religions have the same basic moral baleifs and many believe in a lot of the same things. Not only that but their theories on some thigns [creation] are similar. Not to say that this goes with all religions or that this validates anything, just being fair.

Hmmmm...
Are thoughts new if you've never thought them before? These ideas I've come up with are the result of me just sitting around and thinking...sometimes wasted, sometimes not, but either way this religions isn't just something I've hashed together with bits of other religions that I've liked or anything like that. However, maybe my religion isn't new...i'm not exactly a world religion expert. The point is I do subscribe and practice this religion, so until I find one exactly like it, I'll keep going.
Beany, what do you mean by "the same conclusions"? Honestly don't know what you're talking about...
And as for the dictionary definitions...what the hell? Quote my own beliefs? My own beliefs don't apply to what words mean. Not to mention the fact that what you know words to mean comes from the dictionary in the first place. Why do you think we look up words in the dictionary when we don't know what they mean?

Lifetime after lifetime of experience and learning, all people gain wisdom and knowledge about life.
I did the same as you. I thought about religeon and spirituality for hours and hours. Sometimes I thought it was gonna send me crazy thinking about it so much, but it was so interesting I couldn't help myself.
I was sure that I'd discovered all the answers. I thought I was a genius. I imagined telling people and how amazed they'd be at how much sense it makes. Then I started reading books that people recommended and I found that half of them contained the same thoughts and beliefs that I'd already thought up myself.
Eventually a soul will disover the truth, and all they really need to do is "Experience" (Which they can't avoid) Gradually over lifetimes they'll start to see what is truth and what is illusion.
I'm glad you've made plenty of cool realisations, but it goes on, way past understanding what you already know. You can understand the theory but you still have to experience and live the realisations.

Hmm...you make a good point.
I don't really know how to answer, because I can't really prove anything. I guess all I can say is, this IS something I've put into practice, this IS something I live my life by and this IS something I believe in.
Not only that, but I think it'd make other people happy to believe in it too.

I believe you, and same here. The things I've learned and realised over the past few years has pulled me out of a really miserable life.
