Why is it that whenever I see someone writting about God, they seem to find it necessary to capitalise words like refering to him, like His, Him, He, and even words like Holy and Great. I mean whats up with that? They're 2nd person pronouns (i think) and adjectives for fucks sake. Surely He gave us grammar for a reason.

(It should be noted that I have never bitched at people for not using correct spelling and grammar on Totse, or anywhere on the web or any other places at all, usually I don't care. I just thouhgt of this today and wanted to post something.)

the G-d thing is a thing that some jews do

not me but some of my friends do it

the idea behind it is that the lords name is to powerful to be spelled by man

somethin like that

but capitalizing His and He is goofy

when they do the "G-d" thing it's not that it's too powerful, but that his name is a holy thing, and if you were to write God on a piece of paper, you don't know what could happen to it.

like throwing it out would be a form of disrespect. so by putting the dash they are ensuring that no blasphemy is done to it, because of them.
